Ricardo Marqués
Ricardo Marqués is Full Professor of Physics at the University of Seville, where he has carried out most of his teaching and research activities, authoring more than a hundred scientific papers and numerous contributions to scientific meetings. He has been also member of the Board of ConBici - the main Spanish association of urban cyclists – and has been actively involved in the design of the cycling policy at his University and his city (Seville). Presently, his scientific interest focuses on the bicycle as a sustainable mode of transport, being the author of numerous reports, scientific articles and contributions to conferences, devoted to the analysis of utilitarian cycling in metropolitan areas and cities. He is currently working on intermodality between bicycles and public transport, as well as on the analysis of cycling mobility and the factors that contribute to its integration into urban mobility, including cycling safety.
