Muriel Jolivet
Doctor of Oriental Studies, Muriel Jolivet is a professor at Sophia University in Tokyo, where she has lived for over 40 years. She is the author of numerous books on Japanese society (Un pays en mal d’enfants, Homo japonicus, Japon: le crise des modèles, Tokyo memories, Tokyo instantanés, Confidences du Japon, etc.), some of which have been translated into Japanese. She was made Knight of the French National Order of Merit in 2004. Her courses focus on a comparison of different trends observed in Japan and in the West.
