A visual artist and creator of moving sculptures for 20 years, Fabien Chalon was commissioned by the SNCF to create “Le Monde en Marche” (World in Motion) : monumental sculpture that has livened up the centre of the Gare du Nord in Paris since 2008. It’s a “monument” that moves every hour and leads to conversations and discussions between travellers. It’s a playful and lively piece of participatory art.
